a little intro

Welcome!

This summer I'll be working with Engineers Without Borders as a Junior Fellow in Ghana. I hope to share my experiences, stories, questions and learning with all of you through this blog.

As you can imagine, I'm excited about a million things! First of all, the Junior Fellow program is a great opportunity for me to learn more about how development actually looks in practice. For three months, I'll be working with one of EWB's partner organizations in rural Ghana and learning as much as I can about the complexities of poverty and development. I hope that I will be able to connect with the amazing individuals who work hard to improve their lives and the lives of others, and that I will be able to communicate their stories to all of you successfully.

I am looking forward to experiencing everything about Ghana: the people, the food, the culture, the music! I think this will be one of my most exciting adventures yet and I'm excited about all the new experiences that will come with it.

I'm leaving for "pre-departure learning" at the end of the month and will be arriving in Ghana on May 7th. I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to let me know what you want to hear more about and to share any questions or comments.
