a small act of kindness

Today I woke up to find that my passport was nowhere to be found. It was not on my desk or with the rest of my papers, or inside my bag, not even underneath my bed... How could I loose it if I double check everytime I carry it around?

Ah! And then it hit me. It was sitting nicely inside the photocopier in one of the busiest buildings on campus. I must have left it there yesterday when I was making photocopies just in case it got lost or something. Go figure. Luckily for me, someone had gone out of her way, left a note to make sure I would find it and dropped it off at campus security. I have it now and I am sure I'll be checking three times from now on.

It is inspiring to think that someone went the extra mile and did something simple and good for a complete stranger without wanting anything in return. That is building community right there! What a powerful example to follow.

why thank you! and of course! It's actually really easy--on top of where you write your post, there's a little picture of what looks like a landscape--kinda blue and greenish. If you click that, it'll give you the option of uploading a picture (either from the intarwebs or from your computer). It walks you through it; when you're done, you can click and drag your photo wherever you want it. It's fun to give people some colour once in a while, eh?

See you soon! ahhh, tomorrow!!
